Last Saturday, April 23rd, our graduate students, Nicholas Murner and Svetlana Zamakhaeva attended ASM spring meeting KY-TN branch. This conference included undergraduate, graduate student poster presentations and graduate student and postdoc oral presentations. Nicholas presented the poster with his first project he has done during rotation in the lab: “Enterococcus faecalis autolysin EpaU binds to the teichoic acid decoration of cell wall polysaccharide”. Svetlana presented a poster titled “Cell wall polysaccharide modifications are essential for spatial regulation of cell division in Streptococcus mutans”. Svetlana won the Best Grad Student Poster prize. Congratulations!!!
